WEEKEND TO REMEMBER!
Year
6 pupils from Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Tyle'r Ynn, Briton
Ferry, have recently experienced an exciting weekend
in Pembrokeshire!
Thanks to Sbondonics book club and the Bardd Plant Cymru
(Welsh-language Children's Poet Laureate) scheme, they
had the time of their lives in the company of author
T. Llew Jones and poet Ceri Wyn Jones. As well as the
author and poet sessions, the children also went go-karting,
rollerblading and swimming, and visited Castell Henllys
Iron Age Fort, the Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber and the
seaside. With the generous help of the Urdd, this was
truly a prize worth winning!
We
intend to organise a similar competition again next
year and details will be sent to schools with their
Spring Term 2005 sales leaflets. Make sure that you
have a chance to compete!
